A youth football coach has appeared in court in connection with historic sex offences.
Robbie Russell, 66, of Bishopmill, Elgin, was bailed on two charges of indecent assault.
The alleged offences involved a minor during the early 80s.
Russell was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor at Dingwall Sports Centre and across Moray, including Elgin’s Munro Baths, for more than 40 years before he retired in 2010.
In his LinkedIn profile, he describes himself as a retired “independent sports professional and youth worker”.
His CV includes a claim that he mentored 12-17-year-olds on a one-to-one basis.
It also claims he is “still coaching and managing youth football with Elgin Boys’ Club”, as well as doing grounds man work. Elgin Boys’ Club said: “We’re not going to make any comment.”
